Why fighting chargebacks by hand does not scale
Chargeback representment is the process of answering a dispute with evidence that the payment was valid. Done by hand, each case means opening the order, finding the customer's emails, pulling delivery tracking, checking the 3DS result, copying login records and writing a letter that fits the reason code. That can take an hour per case.
With a few disputes a month, a person can keep up. With dozens, cases slip past their due dates and are lost by default, or go out with thin evidence that the issuer rejects. Every lost case costs the order amount plus a fee that is typically 15 to 100 USD per dispute depending on your processor.
Chargeback automation removes the copy and paste. You keep the decisions, the software does the gathering and the writing.
What goes into every evidence pack
For each dispute, NoChargeback pulls data from your connected accounts and puts it into one pack.
-
Order details: items, amount, date, plan or product
-
Customer details: name, email, billing and shipping address, account history
-
IP address and location match between the order, the card and the shipping address
-
3DS authentication result and AVS and CVC checks
-
Delivery proof with carrier tracking, or usage proof such as logins, downloads and activity after purchase
-
Communication log with the customer
-
Terms acceptance with version and time
-
Your refund and cancellation policy
-
A rebuttal letter drafted by reason code
The pack is shown as a checklist, so you can see at a glance what is strong, what is missing and what you can add yourself before submitting.
A rebuttal letter written for the reason code
Issuers look for different proof depending on why the cardholder disputed. A fraud claim needs proof that the real cardholder made the purchase. An "item not received" claim needs delivery proof. A "subscription canceled" claim needs proof that the customer agreed to the terms and did not cancel in time.
NoChargeback drafts the letter for the specific reason code and network, then points to the matching evidence in the pack. You can edit every line before it goes out. For the structure of a strong response, see our chargeback rebuttal letter template, and for codes by network, the reason codes library.
| Reason type | What the letter focuses on |
|---|---|
| Fraud, card not present | 3DS result, AVS and CVC match, IP and device history, past undisputed orders |
| Item not received | Carrier tracking, delivery date, delivery address match |
| Not as described | Product description, photos, customer messages, return policy |
| Subscription canceled | Terms acceptance, cancellation policy, usage after the cancel date |
| Duplicate or incorrect amount | Separate order records, receipts, refund history |
See the win chance before you submit
Before a pack goes out, NoChargeback shows a win chance based on the reason code and the strength of the evidence in the pack. A low score tells you what is missing. Sometimes the best move is to add a document. Sometimes it is to accept the dispute and save the time.
No tool can promise a win, because the issuing bank makes the final call. What dispute management software can do is make sure every case you fight goes out complete and on time.
Automatic submission 48 hours before the due date
On Starter, you review each pack and submit it with one click, with a countdown to the deadline on every case. On Growth, Scale and Enterprise, packs are submitted automatically 48 hours before the due date, so no case is lost to a missed deadline. You can still open, edit or hold any pack before that time.
-
Starter: manual submit with a deadline countdown
-
Growth and higher: automatic submission 48 hours before the due date
-
Every plan: edit any field and the letter before submission
-
Every plan: outcome tracking when the issuer decides
Learn from every outcome
When cases close, outcomes flow back into the app. Win rate and reason code analytics show which disputes you win, which you lose, and where the pattern sits: product, country, card network or reason. Those patterns feed prevention rule suggestions such as 3DS triggers, velocity limits or refund before dispute, so the same type of case shows up less often. Read more on the chargeback alerts page.
Fight chargebacks for a flat price
Most representment services keep a share of each dispute they win. NoChargeback is a flat subscription. When a pack wins, the full amount stays with you.
| Plan | Monthly | Billed yearly, per month | Disputes per month | Submission |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 49 USD | 24 USD | 15 | Manual |
| Growth | 299 USD | 149 USD | 100 | Automatic |
| Scale | 799 USD | 399 USD | 400 | Automatic |
| Enterprise | 1,999 USD | 999 USD | 1,500 | Automatic |
A dispute counts once an evidence pack is generated for it. Paying yearly saves 50 percent. See all plan details on the pricing page.
