What NoChargeback reads from Adyen
Adyen reports each stage of a dispute through webhooks, including request for information, notification of chargeback, chargeback and second chargeback. NoChargeback listens to all of them, so you see an inquiry before it turns into a chargeback and you know when a case moves to a second round.
-
The dispute stage, network reason code, amount, currency and defense period end date.
-
The original payment with 3D Secure authentication, AVS and CVC results and the shopper IP address when you pass it.
-
Shopper reference, billing and delivery address and earlier payments from the same shopper.
-
Refunds already processed, so you never defend a payment you already returned.
Permissions and credentials we ask for
In your Adyen Customer Area you create an API credential with the dispute role, which allows retrieving defense reasons, uploading defense documents and defending disputes. To build the evidence pack we also need read access to payment details. Nothing else is required.
NoChargeback never issues refunds, captures or cancels payments, initiates payouts or changes your account settings. Credentials are encrypted at rest and you can revoke them in the Customer Area at any time. Read how we protect credentials on the security page.
Which dispute data we ingest and which evidence we fill
Adyen accepts defense documents that match a defense reason for the specific dispute. NoChargeback first retrieves the applicable defense reasons, then picks the one your data supports best and lists the document types it requires.
-
Proof of delivery or service usage, with tracking, delivery confirmation or login and download logs.
-
Invoice, order details and the terms and refund policy the shopper accepted.
-
Authentication and verification results from the payment, plus IP and location match.
-
Prior undisputed payments from the same shopper, which supports Compelling Evidence 3.0 style defenses for fraud reason codes such as Visa reason code 10.4.
-
A drafted rebuttal letter written for the reason code and the chosen defense reason.
For requests for information, NoChargeback prepares the same documents early, which often closes the case before it becomes a chargeback.
-
1
Step 1 Create an API credential with the dispute role
In the Adyen Customer Area, create an API credential for NoChargeback, assign the dispute role and read access to payments, then generate the API key.
-
2
Step 2 Connect the credential in NoChargeback
Open Integrations in your workspace, choose Adyen, enter the key and your merchant account, and select test or live. We confirm the connection with a read call.
-
3
Step 3 Add the dispute webhook
Add the webhook URL from your workspace in the Customer Area and enable the dispute event codes, so every stage reaches you by email or Slack in real time.
-
4
Step 4 Import open disputes and set rules
NoChargeback loads disputes that are still open, calculates each deadline and lets you choose which reason codes are defended automatically.
Deadline countdown and submission
Every case shows a countdown to the defense period end date from Adyen. By default NoChargeback uploads the documents and defends the dispute automatically 48 hours before that date, the standard behavior on Growth and higher plans. You can change the window or set a reason code to manual, then review the documents and defend with one click. Adyen does not accept new documents after a dispute is defended, so the pack goes out only when it passes the completeness check. More on dispute automation.
Which plans include Adyen

Does NoChargeback handle Adyen requests for information?
Yes. Requests for information arrive as their own webhook, and NoChargeback prepares documents for them early, so you can answer before a chargeback is filed.
Can NoChargeback refund or cancel Adyen payments?
No. The API credential uses the dispute role and read access to payments only. NoChargeback never refunds, captures, cancels or pays out.
Which plan do I need for Adyen?
Adyen is available on Scale and Enterprise. Both include automatic defense before the due date and network alerts.
