What NoChargeback reads from Checkout.com
Checkout.com offers a Disputes API to list disputes, get dispute details, provide evidence and submit it, plus webhooks for dispute events. NoChargeback subscribes to those events and pulls each dispute with the payment it belongs to.
-
The dispute with its category, network reason code, amount, status and evidence required by date.
-
The payment details, including 3D Secure authentication, AVS and CVV results and the customer IP address when you send it.
-
Customer and billing data, shipping address and earlier payments from the same customer.
-
Refunds already issued on the payment, so you never contest money you returned.
Permissions and credentials we ask for
In the Checkout.com Dashboard you create an API key scoped to reading payments and disputes and to providing dispute evidence. NoChargeback asks for nothing beyond that.
NoChargeback never issues refunds, captures or voids payments, creates payouts or changes your balance settings. Keys are encrypted at rest and you can revoke them in the Dashboard at any moment. How we handle credentials is described on the security page.
Which dispute data we ingest and which evidence we fill
Every new Checkout.com chargeback appears in your NoChargeback queue with the reason code explained in plain words, for example Visa reason code 10.4 or Mastercard reason code 4853. The evidence pack then follows the fields Checkout.com asks for.
-
Proof of delivery or service, such as tracking, delivery confirmation or usage and login logs.
-
Invoice, receipt and the terms and refund policy the customer accepted at checkout.
-
Authentication results from the payment and the match between IP, location and billing address.
-
Customer communication and prior undisputed payments, useful for Compelling Evidence 3.0 in fraud cases.
-
A drafted rebuttal letter written for the reason code, which you can edit line by line.
Nothing is submitted until the pack is complete, and you see every file before it goes to Checkout.com.
-
1
Step 1 Create a scoped API key in Checkout.com
In the Checkout.com Dashboard, create a secret key limited to reading payments and disputes and providing dispute evidence.
-
2
Step 2 Add the key in NoChargeback
Open Integrations in your workspace, choose Checkout.com and paste the key. We run a read call to confirm the connection and the scopes.
-
3
Step 3 Send dispute webhooks to NoChargeback
Add the webhook URL from your workspace in the Dashboard and select the dispute events, so new disputes reach you in real time by email or Slack.
-
4
Step 4 Import open disputes and choose your rules
NoChargeback loads disputes that are already open, calculates every deadline and lets you decide which reason codes go out automatically.
Deadline countdown and submission
Each dispute carries a countdown to the evidence due date set by Checkout.com. By default NoChargeback provides and submits the evidence automatically 48 hours before that date, which is the standard behavior on Growth and higher plans. You can move the window or set a reason code to manual, then review the pack and submit it with one click. Submitted evidence is final at Checkout.com, so NoChargeback only sends packs that pass its completeness check. See the full flow on dispute automation.
Which plans include Checkout.com
Checkout.com is part of the Scale and Enterprise plans. Scale connects up to 20 accounts across all integrations, including Checkout.com, Adyen and Authorize.net, with 400 disputes and 5,000 alerts a month, network alerts with Visa RDR and API access. Enterprise raises that to 100 accounts and 1,500 disputes with SSO, audit log and SLA. Pricing is a flat subscription with no per alert fee and no cut of recovered money, listed on the pricing page.
Can NoChargeback refund or capture payments on Checkout.com?
No. The API key you create only reads payments and disputes and provides dispute evidence. NoChargeback never refunds, captures, voids or pays out.
Can I change evidence after it is submitted to Checkout.com?
Evidence is final once submitted, so NoChargeback checks the pack for missing items before sending. You can review and edit everything up to that point.
Which plan do I need for Checkout.com?
Checkout.com is available on Scale and Enterprise. Both include automatic submission before the due date and network alerts.
