What Midigator offers today
Midigator built its name on post transaction tools: pre dispute alerts from the card networks, order data sharing so issuers can stop a dispute before it is filed, a dispute response service that fights chargebacks that do land, and analytics on why disputes happen. Equifax announced its agreement to buy Midigator in July 2022 and placed it next to Kount, its pre authorization fraud product.
Kount has since said it is sunsetting the Midigator brand. Its announcement lists the steps: the Midigator website redirects to Kount, marketing emails come from Kount, and billing migrates to Kount. It also says the rebrand does not change existing contracts, the Midigator branded portal stays, and the technology remains intact.
So nothing breaks overnight for a current customer. What changes is who you buy from. You now deal with a large credit bureau's fraud division, and new pricing comes through Kount's sales process.
Enterprise quote or a flat software price
Neither Midigator nor Kount publishes a rate card for chargeback management. You talk to sales, share your volume, and receive a quote. That suits a large retailer that already buys fraud screening from Kount and wants one vendor for both sides of the transaction.
For a Shopify store, a SaaS company or a digital goods seller with 20 to 300 disputes a month, a quote cycle often means weeks before anything is connected, and a price you cannot check against anyone else's.
NoChargeback works the other way round. Every plan, limit and price is on the pricing page, checkout is online, and the price does not move with your win rate. Growth is 299 USD a month, or 149 USD a month billed yearly, for up to 100 disputes and 1,000 alerts with automatic submission.

What NoChargeback costs
The same prices apply to every merchant, and annual billing saves 50 percent.
-
Starter at 49 USD a month, or 24 USD a month billed yearly. One connected account, 15 disputes and 100 alerts a month, manual submit.
-
Growth at 299 USD a month, or 149 USD a month billed yearly. Five accounts, 100 disputes, 1,000 alerts, automatic submission, prevention rules, Slack and 3 seats.
-
Scale at 799 USD a month, or 399 USD a month billed yearly. Twenty accounts, all integrations, 400 disputes, 5,000 alerts, network alerts and Visa RDR rules, API access and 10 seats.
-
Enterprise at 1,999 USD a month, or 999 USD a month billed yearly. 100 accounts, 1,500 disputes, 20,000 alerts, SSO, audit log and an SLA.
No plan charges a percentage of recovered chargebacks, and there is no per alert fee inside the plan limit. Per alert pricing from other vendors is broken down in Chargeblast pricing and what each alert costs.
How to compare your Midigator renewal with a flat plan
A rebrand is a natural point to check whether you still pay the right price. Pull twelve months of numbers before the renewal call.
- 1 Export last year's alerts, disputes and wins from the Midigator portal. You keep logging into the same portal during the rebrand, so the data is there.
- 2 List every line on your current invoice: platform fee, per alert fees, per dispute or success fees, and any minimum.
- 3 Price your real year. For example, 80 alerts and 40 disputes a month at 20 USD per alert is 19,200 USD a year in alert fees alone, before any representment fee.
- 4 Put the matching plan next to it. Eighty alerts and 40 disputes fit inside Growth, which is 1,788 USD for the year billed yearly. If you need Ethoca and Visa RDR enrollment through us, Scale is 4,788 USD for the year billed yearly.
- 5 Check the notice period in your contract and who handles open cases after you switch.
If you also buy Kount fraud screening, keep that part. Pre authorization screening and post transaction dispute software do different jobs, and NoChargeback does not replace a fraud score at checkout.
When Midigator through Kount may fit better
-
You already run Kount fraud screening and want one vendor and one contract for fraud and disputes.
-
You process very high volume and want an enterprise account team and a custom service level.
-
You want the representment work done for you as a service rather than reviewing drafted responses in house.
-
You need a processor or acquirer connection that NoChargeback does not support.
How to switch from Midigator
- 1 Connect your processor. NoChargeback asks for read access and dispute evidence permission only and never moves money. The security page lists exactly what is requested.
- 2 Let open cases close in the Midigator portal. New disputes appear in NoChargeback with reason code, amount and response deadline.
- 3 Turn on chargeback alerts before you end the old alert enrollment, so there is no gap in pre dispute coverage. Network enrollment details for Mastercard are on the Ethoca alerts page.
- 4 Set dispute automation rules for your top reason codes and check the first few drafted packs by hand.
- 5 Watch your Visa and Mastercard dispute ratios in the chargeback ratio monitor during the first month, when two systems overlap.
What happened to Midigator?
Equifax announced its agreement to acquire Midigator in July 2022 and grouped it with Kount, its fraud prevention business. Kount later said it is sunsetting the Midigator brand: the website redirects to Kount, marketing and billing move to Kount, and the existing technology and contracts stay in place.
Is Midigator still available?
Yes, the technology is still sold, now under the Kount name. Existing customers keep logging into the Midigator branded portal, and Kount says the rebrand does not change their contracts. New buyers go through Kount's sales team rather than a separate Midigator website.
How much does Midigator cost?
Midigator and Kount do not publish chargeback management prices. Pricing comes from a quote based on your volume and the services you choose. Ask for every line in writing, including platform fees, per alert fees and any fee tied to recovered chargebacks.
What is a good alternative to Midigator for a mid sized store?
A flat priced tool usually fits better than an enterprise quote. NoChargeback starts at 49 USD a month, Growth covers 100 disputes and 1,000 alerts for 149 USD a month billed yearly, and you can buy and connect it online the same day.
